Cafe Draig & Team

Our cafe is surrounded by beautiful countryside and is situated on the riverside, we welcome walkers, cyclists and motorcyclists however muddy! and of course anyone else who would like to pop in.

Conveniently situated on the A470 about half way across Wales from North to South and from East to West and are stones throw from the Glyndwr Way, one of the best walking routes in Wales.

There is plenty to see and do in our large open plan building where children can be happily amused within sight of parents while they sit and relax, with a coffee. Also keeping the children and no doubt adults amsused is the only permanent exhibition of contemporary Automata (mechanical moving models) in the UK, see more at: www.machinationswales.co.uk

The comfy sofa area is filled with children;s books and toys and colouring things! all perfect for family time so why not pop in on your way to the coast, plan a visit as a special day or simply have a welcome break on your journey and enjoy a great day out at this unique visitor centre in Mid Wales.

We are also situated on one of the best walking trails the Glyndwrs Way within a further 20 miles of us you will also find the market towns of Llanidloes and Newtown.

Must see places and not to far from us are Lake Vyrnwy, the Elas Vally Reservoirs, Clywedog Lake, Aberdovey which has a fantastic beach and Aberystwyth with its cliff railway taking you up Constitution Hill which offers amazing views over the town and down the coastline, great on a sunny day.

We are happy to recommend things to see and do in the local area, please just ask when you visit us, we also have lots of leaflets you can take away to read at your leisure.
